Birth Preparation

What is Birth Preparation?

What will I learn in the Birth Preparation course?

  • Understand your body’s wisdom and the natural process of birth to reduce the need for medical interventions.
  • Practice breathing, relaxation, and visualisation techniques to prepare your mind and body to welcome your baby with trust and serenity.
  • Discover labour and birth movements and positions, and reconnect with your feminine power to flow in harmony with your body and your baby throughout birth.
  • Explore the role of pain and learn gentle yet powerful practices—such as pressure points and light massage from your birth companion—that help you stay connected to yourself and your baby during labour.
  • Manage labour pain naturally and effectively through movement, breathing, and mindful touch.
  • Strengthen communication and teamwork with your partner and/or doula.
  • Apply stress management strategies and make informed decisions in challenging situations.
  • Experience the loving presence and true support of your birth companion, building a deep and conscious connection to navigate the magic of birth together.

All of these are designed to give you practical, hands-on tools to navigate pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period with empowerment, confidence, and serenity.

Important information

Who can attend the Birth Preparation course?

You, the mother, as well as the person who will accompany you during your childbirth, your “birth companion”. It can be the father, a doula, a friend or a close relative.

It is recommended that the birth companion attends the course, as it provides them with the knowledge and tools to feel confident and actively support their partner throughout pregnancy and birth. However, Participation in all the relaxation exercises is optional for the birth companion — they can join only what they feel comfortable with.

If you don’t have a birth companion to join you for the course, that’s okay — I will be your birth companion during the practical moments of the course.

How is the Birth Preparation course organised?

Birth Preparation course is delivered in private or small group sessions.

There are 4 classes.

Each class lasts 3hours with 20 minutes break.

When should I start the Birth Preparation course?

You can start the classes anytime after the 1st trimester. Although it is never too late to prepare for a calm and positive birth, I recommend an early start to enjoy the benefits of the course. The sooner, the better !

Starting early means your baby will benefit from a calm and positive mum, who has had lots of time to practice all the techniques learnt in class.

If you have any birth-related fear, it is important to start reducing that fear as soon as possible.

Where is the Birth Preparation course given?

For the private course, the classes are given in the comfort of your own home.

For the group course, the place has not been confirmed yet.
